"Working on the Group's most promising developments"
MATTHEW BROOKS, Senior Reservoir Engineer
His is an unusual career path in the world of petroleum. Prior to working on the reservoirs of the Group's fields, Matthew Brooks was first a civil engineer and then a teacher, before joining the oil industry with a service company.
After three years working for a consultancy, he decided to join an operator. Why Perenco? "Because it is a company large enough to have a major portfolio of projects, whilst retaining a human touch," he responds. "You know the people with whom you work. You really have the feeling that you are part of the team. You can grasp all aspects of a project."
Within two years, Matthew was already familiar with three sites: the London headquarters and two subsidiaries. He worked on a variety of different projects including new ventures, secondary/tertiary recovery studies, before being transferred overseas.
